Work and Holiday Visa Details

Young adults who are looking for a prolonged vacation and are willing to work in order to pay for it.

First Work & Holiday Visa

Subclass 462

Those between the ages of 18 and 30 are eligible for this visa, which allows them to stay in Australia for a longer period of time and work to help pay their journey.

Second Work & Holiday Visa

Subclass 462

This visa allows individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 (inclusive) who possess or have had a Work and Holiday visa to spend a second working holiday in Australia.

Third Work & Holiday Visa

Subclass 462

This visa allows individuals between the ages of 18 and 30 who possess or have held a second Work and Holiday (subclass 462) visa to enjoy a third working holiday in Australia.

  • 25% of applications: Less than 1 day
  • 50% of applications: 14 Days

Some visa processing timeframes have been impacted by COVID-19, and applications may take longer to complete. The processing period for Visitors and Working Holiday Makers is determined differently depending on when you applied. If you applied before the border reopened, the processing time begins when you were eligible to travel. If you applied after the border reopened, the processing period begins with the day you applied.
